Below is an example of my Shadowbox 3-D Art. It is an 11x14 inch multi-layered illustration in an inch and a half deep frame. The sky is the first layer. The lighter, smaller trees are the second layer, about 1/8 inch up from the first layer. The next is the bigger trees and the palm tree, which are 1/2 inch above the first layer. The next layer is the donkey, bear, sand and grass which is 3/4 of an inch above the first layer. The final layer are the two leafy plants in the bottom left and right which are a 1/8 inch or so up off the sandy area. Below are pictures of it on an angle to help with seeing the depth.  I wish you could see this in person, because the 3-D effect is really rather amazing. The people who have seen it just kept looking at it and saying, "wow".

I only have one example because this is my first attempt at this style of art. I charge $100 for 11x14 inch, plus $12-$24 for the frame. Bigger pieces of artwork cost proportionally more. I think this style of art is well suited to illustrating special events, like "baby's 1st birthday" or when your child wins a sporting event or even just commemorating your children. I had the idea to make like a flower garden and incorporate the names and birthdates of one of my friend's kids into the flowers. Contact me for more info.
